Students read: Pop’s Bridge and Bridges.

Our target comprehension skills are “Compare/Contrast & Text Features” Students will infer and predict as they read.

Phonics: Review long o spelled ‘oa’ and ‘ow’.

Vocabulary: Students use base words (root words) along with prefixes and suffixes to understand how words are related.

Students learn about using the dictionary and a glossary.

Fluency: Expression: We work on reading with emphasis on making our voices go up and down when appropriate. Punctuation cues readers when it is time to raise or lower the voice.
