Students read chapters 12-13 in the Boxcar Children.

Our target comprehension skills include: summarizing, drawing conclusions

Students are excited to find out what happens when the grandchildren finally meet their grandfather. We tie all the loose ends of the mystery and enjoy the wonderful, happy ending.

Fluency: we continue to develop smooth and expressive reading. Students work to read with good accuracy, as well.

Vocabulary: Students learn to identify the meaning of words using the dictionary and context clues. They work to generate synonyms and antonyms for vocabulary words.

Students will take the book-end comprehension test at the end of this week.
